Human Resources and Business Operations Specialist

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable HR and Business Operations Specialist to join our clients dynamic management consulting firm. This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between HR functions and general business operations, contributing to our clients company’s growth and success. This position combines HR expertise with business acumen, allowing you to have a holistic view of our clients company’s operations. You will collaborate closely with leadership to support HR functions while also actively participating in business administration, goal setting, and strategic planning.

This multifaceted role entails responsibilities in human resources, business operations, and business planning, making it a pivotal position in driving the growth, efficiency, and success of our organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at managing a wide range of human resources functions, from talent acquisition and development to employee engagement, as well as operational functions from corporate goal setting to business performance reviews. This role requires exceptional self-leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as an understanding of human resources and business operations best practices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Talent Acquisition, Development, and Retention:

✓ Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier candidates.

✓ Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.

✓ Collaborate with business leaders to identify skill gaps and training needs, and design professional development programs.

✓ Implement effective onboarding and orientation programs for new hires to ensure a smooth integration into the company.

✓ Monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and support career growth through performance appraisals and development plans.

✓ Periodically review and update HR policies and Staff Handbook.

  1. Employee Morale and Engagement:

✓ Create and implement initiatives to enhance employee morale, satisfaction, and overall workplace culture.

✓ Organize team-building activities, workshops, and events to foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

✓ Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.

✓ Conduct regular employee engagement surveys to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

  1. Junior Consultant Programs:

✓ Design and manage a comprehensive management trainee program to nurture future leaders within the organization.

✓ Develop training materials, mentorship guidelines, and performance evaluation criteria for trainees.

✓ Monitor trainee progress, provide guidance, and ensure a well-rounded learning experience.

  1. Leave Administration:

✓ Administer and track employee leaves, including sick leave, vacation time, and other types of absences.

✓ Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to leave management.

  1. Business and Office Administration:

✓ Collaborate with executive leadership to define and cascade corporate goals and objectives throughout the organization.

✓ Lead the preparation and execution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and presenting insights to leadership.

✓ Contribute to strategic planning initiatives, providing valuable input and insights to drive the company’s growth and success.

✓ Oversee daily office operations, including facilities management, supplies procurement, and vendor relationships, to ensure a well-functioning and productive work environment.

✓ Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals.

✓ Ensure that all insurance premiums are paid on time

✓ Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all HR and business operations, staying up-to-date with relevant laws and industry trends.

✓ Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure consistent practices.

✓ Manage internal communication channels and tools to facilitate effective communication across the organization.

✓ Implement and manage performance measurement systems to track progress towards corporate goals and provide regular updates to leadership.

Qualifications:

✓ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

✓ Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management, with a strong focus on talent acquisition, development, and employee engagement.

✓ Proven experience in implementing successful talent management strategies and programs.

✓ Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.

✓ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.

✓ Strong self-leadership skills, with the ability to self-start and proactively develop and implement effective operational plans

✓ Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

✓ Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.

✓ Professional HR certification is a plus.
